Appointment of non-executive Director and results of AGM
AFC Energy develops low cost fuel cells for industrial companies that produce
waste hydrogen as a by-product from their operations. AFC Energy's fuel cells
use this captured hydrogen to produce electricity.
AFC Energy's fuel cells use a reduced level of precious metals and the Company
has a clear route to commercialisation by selling fuel cells directly to the
end-user. Akzo Nobel is AFC Energy's first customer.
AGM resolutions
AFC Energy's Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 October 2007 was
posted to all shareholders of the Company. Copies of the Annual Report and
Accounts are available on the Company's website at www.afcenergy.com.
All resolutions from today's AGM were duly passed.
Appointment of Mitchell Field
AFC Energy plc announces the appointment to the Board of Mitchell Laurence Field
as a non-executive Director with immediate effect.
Mitchell, aged 56, has considerable commercial experience. He is Managing
Director and majority shareholder of Richards and Appleby Ltd, the cosmetics
manufacturing company, where he takes responsibility for sales and marketing,
overseeing all blue chip customers in the UK as well as exports to over 60
international companies.
In addition Mitchell has held investments and management interests in a range of
other companies across a broad number of industries.

into voluntary liquidation in 1980. Mitchell was also a director of Stephens
Packaging Limited subsequent to its acquisition by Richards & Appleby Limited in
August 1989. In October 1989 Stephens Packaging Limited went into voluntary
liquidation.
There is no further information to be disclosed in relation to the above
appointment pursuant to Schedule 2 paragraph (g) and Rule 17 of the AIM Rules
for Companies.
