Sterling Energy plc (the "Company"), the AIM listed oil and gas exploration company (AIM: SEY), notes that further to its announcement on 13 October 2016 that the Board of the Company currently consists of the CEO, Eskil Jersing, as well as Michael Kroupeev as a Non-Executive Director.

The Company intends to appoint appropriately qualified non-executive directors in due course, consistent with the Company's corporate governance framework.
