                    NOTIFICATION OF SUBSTANTIAL SHAREHOLDING

The Company was notified on 18 June 2004 by Fidelity International Limited
('FIL') that FIL and its direct and indirect subsidiaries have a non-beneficial
interest in 5,097,306 ordinary shares in the Company, equivalent to 9.99 per
cent. of the Company's issued share capital. The interest is registered in the
name of HSBC.

The notification by FIL also comprises a notifiable interest of Mr Edward C
Johnson 3rd, a principal shareholder of FIL.
