Sirdar PLC ('Sirdar' or 'the Group')
At the Annual General Meeting held today it was announced that Gerry Lumb will
be retiring from his position as Non-Executive Chairman when his contract
expires on 30 April 2004.
Gerry has made a significant contribution to Sirdar over his 42 years of service
and has in recent years overseen the repositioning of the Group's focus to the
manufacture of floor covering products and specialist yarns. The Board of Sirdar
wishes Gerry a long and happy retirement.
The search for a replacement is well advanced and an announcement will be made
in due course.
