Major Interest in Shares

Alliance Pharma plc (AIM: APH), the speciality pharmaceutical company, was informed on 24 August 2009
that Nigel Wray purchased, on 24 August 2009, 4,500,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company. The Company was also informed on 24 August 2009 that Mr Wray purchased a further 300,000 ordinary shares during July 2009.

Mr Wray's resultant shareholding is 21,469,995 ordinary shares, equivalent to 11.1% of the Company's issued share capital.

Mr Wray's ordinary shares are held as follows:
