Dividend Declaration

Alliance  Trust PLC  announces the  declaration of  a fourth interim dividend of
2.2075 pence  per share payable on 3 May 2011 to shareholders on the register on
1 April 2011.  The ex-dividend date is 30 March 2011.

Taken  together with the three previous interim dividends, each of 2.0625 pence,
the  total dividend payable for the year ended 31 January 2011 will therefore be
8.395 pence  per share, representing an increase  of 3% on the dividend of 8.15
pence per share paid for the year ended 31 January 2010.
