A Letter from Apple Oil and Gas Limited to Aminex Plc dated the 11 March 2001,
received by Aminex Plc on the 12th March 2002.



As a result of obtaining irrevocable undertakings to accept the Offer to be made
by Apple Oil and Gas Limited for Aminex Plc, pursuant to Section 67 of the Irish
Companies Act 1990, Apple Oil and Gas Limited now has a notifiable interest in
13,138,750 Aminex ordinary shares representing 17.12 per cent of Aminex's issued
share capital.

The identify and number of ordinary shares held by each registered shareholder
from whom irrevocable undertakings have been obtained are set out in the
schedule hereto.
