APPLE'S OFFER LAPSES
The Board of Aminex PLC ("Aminex") is pleased to note that, with Apple having
only received acceptances in respect of 18.91% of the issued ordinary share
capital of Aminex as at 25 April 2002, being the closing date of Apple's Offer,
the Offer has now lapsed.
Brian Hall, Chief Executive of Aminex, commented:
"I am naturally delighted by this result. This has been a time-consuming and
expensive distraction for Aminex, and a difficult and unsettling time for
management and staff. I am grateful to the great majority of our shareholders
who chose to support Aminex.
We will now press ahead with our announced strategy and our task of achieving
value for our shareholders."
