The Directors of Aminex plc ("Aminex") have noted the announcement made this
morning by Apple Oil And Gas Ltd that they intend to make an all paper
(non-cash) offer for Aminex.

This offer is unsolicited and has been announced without prior consultation with
Aminex's Board.

Shareholders should take no action in respect of this offer pending a further
announcement by the Directors of Aminex.
