Kun-Manie Exploration Rights Extended To End Of 2012
Amur Minerals Corporation ("Amur" or the "Company"), an exploration and development company focused on Far East Russia, announces that it has been granted an extension on the rights to explore for nickel and copper within its Kun-Manie exploration licence located in the Amur Oblast. The licence was due to expire on 31 December 2010.
In June 2010, Amur's Russian subsidiary (ZAO Kun-Manie) applied for a two year extension to continue exploration within the exploration licence area. The newly extended right to explore continues until 31 December 2012 and was granted by Rosnedra, the Russian State regulator.
CEO Robin Young commented:
"The extension was promptly granted by Rosnedra on the basis that substantial exploration potential remains within the area. Numerous targets require testing along strike within the main mineral trend called Krumkon. Trenching is ongoing at the site now to determine the potential within some of the mineralised targets occurring at or near the surface. Results will be used to prioritise drill targets to be tested in the future."
