(AIM: AMC)
Mining Licence Update
Department of Defence and Federal Security Service Approvals
Amur Minerals Corporation ("Amur" or the "Company"), a nickel-copper sulphide mineral exploration and resource development company focused on the far east of Russia, is pleased to provide an update on its mining licence application at its Kun-Manie project.
The Board reports that representatives of the Russian state authorities have verbally confirmed that the Department of Defence ("DOD") and Federal Security Service ("FSB") have approved the Company's updated mining application. The reports from these agencies as well as that of the Anti-Monopoly Board ("FAS") provide the basis for Rosnedra's compilation of the terms and conditions of the mining licence which will be forwarded for review by the Ministry of Economic Development ("MED"). The MED review will consider the economic parameters and financial viability of the project and subsequently report back to Rosnedra its conclusions based on the submitted mining application and documentation related to the project economics and potential.
Robin Young, CEO of Amur Minerals, commented:
"The Kun-Manie mining application continues to be advanced through the mining licence award process. The Company will update its shareholders as various milestones are reached and we move towards the final decision on award of the mining licence on the Kun-Manie project."
