Directorate change
Anglo American plc announces that Bobby Godsell, a non-executive director, will
retire from the Board at the conclusion of the AGM to be held on 15 April 2008.
Mr Godsell joined the Board in 1999 and has been with Anglo American since 1974.
Sir Mark Moody-Stuart, Chairman of Anglo American, said: "On behalf of the
Board, I would like to thank Bobby for his very significant contribution to
Anglo American over some 34 years. Bobby served as chief executive of AngloGold
from 1998 and its successor company, AngloGold Ashanti until his retirement in
2007. Bobby brought a wealth of expertise and experience to his Board roles and
we wish him every future success."
