Supplement to Notice of Redemption

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONTAINS INSIDE INFORMATION FOR THE PURPOSES OF ARTICLE 7 OF THE MARKET ABUSE REGULATION (EU) 596/2014.

Reference is made to the notice of redemption (the "Notice of Redemption") delivered by Anglo American Capital plc on September 30, 2020 to holders the (i) U.S.$500,000,000 4.125% Senior Notes due April 15, 2021 (the "April 2021 Notes") and (ii) U.S.$300,000,000 3.750% Senior Notes due April 10, 2022 (the "April 2022 Notes" and together with the April 2021 Notes, the "Notes"), as supplemented on October 2, 2020 (the "Supplemental Notice").

The Issuer hereby informs holders of the April 2021 Notes that the redemption price of the April 2021 Notes to be redeemed on October 30, 2020 (the "Redemption Date") is $313,259,090.63 and comprises the principal amount of $307,500,000 plus the Applicable Premium of $5,230,575.00 and accrued and unpaid interest to the Redemption Date of $528,515.63.

The Issuer hereby informs holders of the April 2022 Notes that the redemption price of the April 2022 Notes to be redeemed on the Redemption Date is $314,020,000.00 and comprises the principal amount of $300,000,000 plus the Applicable Premium of $13,395,000.00 and accrued and unpaid interest to the Redemption Date of $625,000.00.

Terms used but not defined herein shall have the meaning given to them in the notice of redemption. The Issuer has notified the holders pursuant to the terms of the Notes.
