          ARBUTHNOT SECURITIES JOINS DUBAI INTERNATIONAL FINANCE EXCHANGE


Arbuthnot Securities, the investment banking arm of AIM-listed Arbuthnot Banking
Group (ARBB.L), and a leading specialist in advising growth companies, has today
become the latest Member of the Dubai International Financial Exchange (DIFX),
the world's newest international stock market.

Arbuthnot Securities' membership of DIFX means it will be able to buy and sell
securities on the exchange. Arbuthnot is only the second specialist UK
investment bank to become a DIFX Member.

Mark Brown, Chief Executive of Arbuthnot Securities, commented:
