                                Issue of Equity


Ascent announces that it has issued and allotted 137,363 ordinary shares of 0.1p
each ('Ordinary Shares') pursuant to an exercise of warrants. Application has
been made to the London Stock Exchange for the Ordinary Shares, which will rank
pari passu with existing shares in issue, to be admitted to trading on AIM, and
admission is expected to become effective on 20 August 2007.

The total number of Ordinary Shares in the Company in issue following the
additional listing will be 298,420,338.
