Board Appointment
Clay Brendish appointed as Non-Executive Chairman
Anite Group plc ('Anite' or 'the Group'), the worldwide IT solutions and
services company, is today pleased to announce that Clay Brendish has been
appointed as its new Non-Executive Chairman. Mr Brendish is a Non-Executive
director of BT Group Plc, and Herald Investment Trust plc, and Non-Executive
Chairman of Close Beacon Investment Fund.
Mr Brendish, 58, will join Anite with effect from the Group's Annual General
Meeting on 4 October 2005 and take the Chair thereafter.
He was co-founder and Executive Chairman of Admiral plc, the software services
company, which is now part of LogicaCMG plc, having been merged with CMG plc in
2000 (where he was Executive Deputy Chairman until stepping down in 2001).

capitalisation of £15 million and by the time of its merger with CMG it was

Mr Brendish replaces Alec Daly, 69, who is stepping down as from 4 October 2005
after ten years as Non-Executive Chairman of Anite. The Board expresses its
thanks to Alec for his stewardship of Anite during a time of considerable
transformation. He leaves Anite in good shape to take advantage of future
opportunities.
Anite will be announcing its preliminary results for the year ended 30 April
2005 on Tuesday 12 July.
Commenting on the appointment, Steve Rowley, Anite's Chief Executive, stated:
'With over 35 years experience in IT and technology, Clay Brendish is both an
excellent and significant appointment for Anite.
'He arrives at an important stage for the Group. Following a strong year of
recovery we are now focusing on growth opportunities in our core markets, backed
by our greatly strengthened balance sheet and following the successful sale of
peripheral businesses. We expect that his combination of public company and
industry experience will be ideal as we take forward our strategic plans.'
