Director changes - Board Appointment

The Board of Asia Dragon Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Dobbs as an independent non-executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 February 2022.  Matthew will also be appointed as a member of the Audit & Risk, Management Engagement, Nomination and Remuneration Committees.

Matthew spent his 40 year fund management career at Schroders, recently stepping down from full time investment responsibilities.  He is a renowned Asian and Small Companies investment expert having been Schroders' Head of Global Small Companies since 2000.   In addition to managing the Schroders Asian Alpha Plus Fund, Matthew was instrumental in helping grow the assets of two investment trusts, Schroder AsiaPacific Fund plc and Schroder Oriental Income Fund Limited, since their launches in 1995 and 2005, into FTSE 250 Companies.  He holds a BA in history and economics from Oxford University.

Matthew is a non-executive director of the European Opportunities Trust PLC.  H e currently has a beneficial interest in 14,000 shares of the Company.
