'Improving Hotel Security in Today's

Unpredictable Global Environment'

Following the recent announcement that Pentagon Protection Plc (AIM: PPR), through it's security division SDS Group Limited, leaders in high risk security consulting, training and the supply of a comprehensive range of security equipment and products, is partnering with Frost & Sullivan in the joint initiative of improving security in luxury hotels globally and with the development of Frost & Sullivan's 'Best Practice Award Programme' extending into the hotel and hospitality sector, the partnership of SDS and Frost & Sullivan has carried out the first of its hotel security assessments for one of London's prestigious hotels.

Dr John Wyatt, Technical Director of SDS Group commented:

'The number of deadly attacks on luxury hotels globally has accelerated significantly in the last twelve months, with senior UK counter terrorism officers reported to be highly concerned about the possibility of attacks by terrorists on major hotels and other public buildingsThe aim of this new initiative is to assist the global hospitality industry to adopt the best security practices possible and to provide assurance of the highest levels of guest and staff protection.'

Frost & Sullivan Partner, Dorman Followwill, explains:

'Each client can request a Security Excellence Survey of their hotel or hotel chain and receive an in-depth confidential assessment which will include individual ratings by specific security category such as structure type, glazing format, perimeter protection and access control.'

In addition to risk assessment surveys of individual hotels around the world, this joint initiative also offers in-depth training courses for Hotel Security Managers and other key personnel from expert instructors with hands-on experience of securing hotels and other high-value soft targets, building upon and extending significantly the advice provided by police and government authorities.

The three day training courses to be held in London are scheduled for 21-23 September, 19-21 October, 16-18 November and 14-16 December.

Haytham ElZayn, Chairman of Pentagon Protection Plc also commented:

'Mitigating the effects of an attack covers many areas. With the hotel and hospitality industry serving business and tourism globally, it plays an important role of each country's infrastructure and is an integral part in every modern society's economy. The impact of aattack on these perceived 'soft targets' not only causes loss of life and disruption to trade, but also broad-ranging disruption across all areas of economy further worsening an already weakened economy.'
