Formation of new Investment Advisory Panel
Amlin plc, the leading Lloyd's insurer, announces the formation of a new
Investment Advisory Panel to help optimise the asset allocation of its funds
under management. Members of the panel, in addition to Charles Philipps (Chief
Executive) and Richard Hextall (Finance Director) are as follows:
Jayne Thorburn, Interim Chief Investment Officer
Ian Harwood, Global Head of Economics and Strategy,
Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein
Richard Hughes, Equity Fund Manager, M&G Investment Management
Richard Lewy, former Managing Director, Scudder, Stevens & Clark
Amlin currently has approximately £1 billion of investment assets in its
corporate and syndicate funds.
Richard Hextall, commenting on the creation of the Investment Advisory Panel,
said 'Our asset base has become an important contributor to our overall return
and it is crucial that we seek to optimise investment returns in alignment with
our corporate strategy. We are delighted that such high calibre investment
professionals have agreed to sit on our panel'.
