AMLIN plc
ISSUE OF EQUITY
On 11 October 2002 Lloyd's approved the application by Amlin and its
wholly-owned subsidiary, Amlin Underwriting Limited, to proceed with the
compulsory acquisition of all of the outstanding capacity on Syndicate 2001
which Amlin and its subsidiaries does not hold and has not acquired pursuant to
the capacity offer made on 2 August 2002.
Pursuant to this Amlin has today allotted a further 77,639 ordinary shares of
25p each, in addition to those already announced. The shares will rank pari
passu in all respects with the existing issued ordinary share capital of the
Company.
The issued share capital of Amlin is now 387,845,039 ordinary shares of 25p
each.
