Audioboom expands podcast network with new show launches and partnership extensions

 

The Board of Audioboom (AIM: BOOM), the leading global podcast company, is pleased to announce the continued expansion of its podcast network through strategic partnership extensions with True Crime Obsessed and The Morning Toast, a new development and production deal with The Obsessed Network, and the launch of Dark Air - an Audioboom Original featuring star of The Office (US) Raine Wilson.

 

'True Crime Obsessed and The Obsessed Network'

 

Audioboom has expanded and extended its strategic partnership with leading podcast True Crime Obsessed, including a development deal to launch new podcasts under the Obsessed Network brand.

 

True Crime Obsessed has been downloaded more than 70 million times since partnering with Audioboom in 2017. The new distribution and exclusive monetisation deal extends the partnership until 2024.

 

Audioboom will also support the development of a new slate of podcasts for the Obsessed Network. Existing network shows include Obsessed With: Disappeared, Strange & Unexplained with Daisy Egan, and Crimes of the Centuries. Audioboom and the True Crime Obsessed team will develop and launch additional podcasts under the network banner over the coming three years.

 

' Dark Air with Terry Carnation '

 

The Company continues its investment in key creative talent for the Audioboom Originals Network with the launch of 'Dark Air with Terry Carnation'.

 

The show is written by, and stars, Raine Wilson - known globally for his portrayal of Dwight Shute in the NBC sitcom The Office.

 

Dark Air is a scripted, comedy series exploring the life of Terry Carnation, the fictional host of a late-night paranormal radio show. Guest appearances during the first season include Angela Kinsey and Susan Sarandon.

 

Dark Air premiered as part of the Audioboom Originals Network on 1st April 2021, reaching the Top 25 of Apple's US Podcast chart.

 

'The Morning Toast'

Popular daily podcast The Morning Toast has renewed its partnership with Audioboom until 2022. The Company will develop global commercial, distribution and marketing opportunities for the show.

Hosted by Claudia and Jackie Oshry, The Morning Toast is a lifestyle and pop culture podcast which has been downloaded more than 90 million times since joining Audioboom's premium network in 2018.
