AVIVA PLC - SCRIP DIVIDEND SCHEME
Following approval by shareholders at this year's Annual General Meeting, the
Board has decided to introduce a scrip dividend scheme ('the Scheme') with
effect from the 2004 interim dividend. The Scheme will provide shareholders who

will be sent to all shareholders in the middle of July.
The Scheme will replace the Company's current Dividend Reinvestment Plan and
further details relating to the treatment of existing Dividend Reinvestment Plan
mandates will be provided in the Scheme details being sent to all shareholders.
The timetable for the 2004 interim dividend is as follows:
2004

Ordinary Shares quoted ex-dividend 11 August
Record date for the proposed interim dividend 13 August
Last date for scrip election 20 October
