Babcock International Group PLC 28 March 2007 28 March 2007 BABCOCK INTERNATIONAL GROUP PLC EDF Energy Networks Alliance Contract Babcock International Group PLC ('Babcock') announces that its Networks business has been appointed as alliance partner to EDF Energy Networks for the delivery of overhead transmission line works in the East of England, the South East and London. Babcock Networks has widespread experience in alliance partnering, and through Eve, its power transmission division, it has recognised expertise in the field of overhead transmission line design and engineering. The contract, worth approximately £50m over a five-year period, will cover the upgrade and development of EDF Energy Networks' transmission infrastructure. Babcock Networks with its partner EDF Energy Networks will commence activities on this contract in the first quarter of the 2007/08 financial year.
