Award of £45 million Facilities Management Contract
Babcock International Group PLC, the support services company, announces that
Debut Services Ltd, its joint venture company with Bovis Lend Lease, has been
awarded a contract by the UK Ministry of Defence for the Bristol Bath Total
Facilities Management project (BB TFM), covering the MoD sites at Abbeywood,
Ensleigh, Foxhill, Warminster Road, Corsham Computer Centre and
Westbury-on-Trym.
The sites included within the BB TFM project have a combined customer occupancy
of over 10,000 MoD personnel. Babcock will provide both 'hard' and 'soft'
facilities management services at these locations.
The BB TFM project, worth in excess of £45 million to Babcock over a three year
period, with an option for the MoD to extend for a further three years, will be
integrated into the Regional Prime Contract South West (RPC SW) already managed
by Debut Services Ltd. Service delivery is due to commence in December 2007.
The existing RPC SW contract commenced in March 2004 and is worth approximately
£500 million over its seven year period.
Peter Rogers, Chief Executive of Babcock International Group PLC, commented:
'We are extremely pleased to be awarded the BB TFM project which serves a number
of important MoD sites. I believe that this award is a reflection of Babcock's
commitment to working in partnership with Defence Estates to deliver a high
standard of service to users of the MoD estate. '

The seven-year contract started March 2004 and includes facilities management
services across a broad property portfolio including airfields and training
establishments and a framework arrangement for the design and construction of
new projects across the estate.
