Appointment and Retirement of Directors
The Board of Foreign & Colonial Pacific Investment Trust PLC announces the
appointment of Mr William Courtauld as a non-executive Director with effect
from today.
Mr Courtauld is currently Chief Executive Officer, Asia for Fortis
International NV, based in Singapore. He has considerable experience in the
Asian markets, gained, in particular, during the 19 years he spent with the
Jardine Matheson Group.
The notification required under paragraph 16.4 of the FSA Listing Rules will
be made in due course.
The Board also announces that The Rt Hon Lord Derwent will retire from the
Company at the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting, to be held in May
this year, after over 11 years service on the Board.
Christopher Purvis, Chairman, said: 'Robin Derwent has made a very important
contribution to the Company over many years. We will miss him and wish him
well. I am delighted to welcome William to the Board; he has considerable
experience of Asia and of the financial industry and will bring important
insights to the Board.'
