Retirement of Director

Schroder UK Growth Fund plc (the "Company") announces that Mr Alan Clifton retired as Chairman and as a Director of the Company, and did not seek re-election at the Annual General Meeting held earlier today.

The Board would like to take this opportunity to thank Alan for his invaluable contribution to the Company over the last 15 years.  Mrs Carolan Dobson will succeed him as Chairman.
