Balfour Beatty plc (the "Company") announces that as at 23 October 2009 the following persons discharging management responsibilities ("PDMRs") and any connected person within the meaning of Section 252 of the Companies Act 2006, hold the following beneficial interests (except as noted below) in the Company's Ordinary Shares of 50 pence each ("Ordinary Shares"). These interests have been adjusted to take into account the rights taken up under the Company's rights issue which closed for acceptances on 22 October 2009 (the "Rights Issue"). As indicated in the Company's Prospectus dated 18 September 2009 each of the Directors took up his rights in full.
