PAYMENT OF DIVIDEND
FISCAL YEAR OF 1999
We hereby inform all shareholders that, as of April 7, 2000, the dividend
related to the fiscal year of 1999 will be available for payment as described
below:
Gross dividend: PTE: 30.0723 (Euro: 0.15)
IRS/IRC (Income tax): PTE: 3.7590
ISD (Inheritance tax): PTE: 1.5036
Net dividend: PTE: 24.8097
All shareholders exempt from tax withholding should inform Banco Comercial
Portugues, S.A., no later than April 22, 2000, of their intention to claim such
tax treatment.
In the terms of the 'Regulamento Geral da Central de Valores Mobiliarios', the
payment of dividends will be executed through the 'Central de Valores
Mobiliarios'.
