Pursuant to the applicable legislation, Banco Comercial Portugues announces the
execution of the notarial deed and the registration with the Commercial
Registry, on April 4, 2003, in respect to the increase in capital to
3,257,400,827 euro, pursuant to the approval of the Board of Directors of Banco
Comercial Portugues, on February 24 and 25, 2003.
