The Bankers Investment Trust PLC
The Bankers Investment Trust PLC (the 'Company') announces that it has today
purchased 11,816,789 shares in the market at a price of 320p, including 10.2
million shares from ST Partners, L.P. Following cancellation of these shares
the Company will have 127,428,211 shares in issue. As a result of this share
buyback, the Company has enhanced the net asset value per share for ongoing
shareholders by 3.16p.
The requisition to put a resolution to the Annual General Meeting, which the
Company announced on 5 December 2000, has been withdrawn.
