                      COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR BOARD APPOINTMENT

A.G.Barr p.l.c. the Scottish based manufacturer of soft drinks including the
popular Irn-Bru, Tizer and Orangina brands, today announces the appointment of
Jonathan Kemp as Commercial Director.

Jonathan will join A.G.Barr on 10th November, joining the Board with immediate
effect and reporting to Managing Director, Roger White. As Commercial Director,
based at Parkhead, Glasgow, he will have full responsibility for driving the
commercial strategy covering all aspects of sales and marketing.

Jonathan joins A.G.Barr from consumer product company Procter & Gamble where he
spent 11 years in a variety of roles across the sales and marketing functions.
In his most recent role Jonathan was commercially responsible for the IAMS pet
food business in the UK.

Roger White, Managing Director said, 'I am delighted Jonathan is joining our
business - his blend of experience and skills, particularly in brand building
and customer development, will add further strength to the development of our
business.'
