In accordance with the requirements of D.T.R.3.1.2R, Barratt Developments PLC (the "Company") was notified on 20 October 2011 that the following Executive Directors/PDMRs of the Company have been granted awards over 3,738,948 Ordinary Shares of 10 pence each in the Company, under the Barratt Developments Long-Term Performance Plan (the 'Plan'), in London, on 20 October 2011 as follows:

The number of shares over which the awards were granted was calculated based on a per share price of 83.47 pence, determined in accordance with the rules of the Plan. The awards were granted for nil consideration and are subject to the attainment of performance targets based on relative TSR (50%) and EPS (50%) measured over a three-year performance period commencing 1 July 2011.
Following the above grant, the Company confirms that at the date of this announcement, each of the Executive Directors/PDMRs hold the following total number of options and awards over Ordinary Shares of 10 pence each in the Company:
