Annual Report and Accounts and Notice of Annual General Meeting

 

The Company confirms that it has today posted to shareholders its Annual Report and Accounts for the financial year ended 31 December 2010, together with a notice of the Annual General Meeting, which will be held at 12 noon on 23 March 2011 at 2 Northwood Avenue, Santry Demesne, Santry, Dublin 9, Ireland.

 

Copies of the notice of the Annual General Meeting, Annual Report and Accounts 2010, Form of Proxy and the proposed Articles of Association to be adopted at the Annual General Meeting have been submitted to the National Storage Mechanism and will shortly be available for inspection at: www.Hemscott.com/nsm.do.

 

The notice of Annual General Meeting, Annual Report and Accounts 2010 and proposed Articles of Association can also be viewed on the Company's website at www.beazley.com.

 

In its announcement of the 8 February 2011 the Company indicated that it would pay a second interim dividend of 5.1 pence plus a special dividend 2.5 pence for the six months ended 31 December 2010 which would be payable on 30 March 2011 to its shareholders entered on the register of members at 5.00 pm on 4 March 2011, (save to the extent that shareholders on the register of members on 4 March 2011 are to be paid a dividend by a subsidiary of the Company (being Beazley DAS Limited) resident for tax purposes in the United Kingdom). The Company will pay this total dividend of 7.6 pence on 31 March 2011, not 30 March 2011, in respect of the six months ended 31 December 2010.
