BERKELEY RESOURCES LIMITED
Final Confirmatory Drilling Results at the
Salamanca Uranium Project
Berkeley is pleased to announce the completion of the first phase confirmatory drilling program at the Águila and Alameda areas and to release the final results from the program at the Alameda South deposit.
A total of 19 diamond holes (1,667m) were drilled at the Alameda South deposit, all of which intercepted their intended targets. The thickness and grade of the intercepts continues to provide a high level of confidence in the historical drilling information upon which Berkeley has based it's exploration targets (Alameda exploration target is 25.5 - 29 million tonnes @ 450 - 500 ppm U3O8). It is anticipated that a Mineral Resource Estimate will be completed for the Alameda area by the end of the 1st Quarter.
The notable results presented in Table 1 are based on down-hole gamma logging undertaken by Berkeley and are shown as equivalent U3O8 ppm grades or eU3O8.

NOTE - The Alameda deposits have been extensively explored by ENUSA but are not classed as Mineral Resources. The quantity and grade of Berkeley's exploration targets for the Alameda deposits are conceptual in nature and based on a review of the available data on the projects to date. As there has been insufficient exploration to estimate a Mineral Resource in accordance with the JORC Code, it is uncertain whether further exploration will result in the determination of a Mineral Resource.
Alameda South Deposit
The Alameda South deposit is located 12km west of the ENUSA Quercus Plant and is accessible via sealed highway and a sealed secondary road.
Uranium mineralisation at Alameda South is hosted by a deformed sequence of regionally and thermally metamorphosed fine grained sandstones and siltstones. In addition, granitic sills and shallow dipping dykes were intruded after the main folding and metamorphism events followed by the uranium mineralisation. The entire sequence has been affected by a later brittle deformation event.
Uranium mineralisation occurs in a complex network of moderately to steeply dipping brittle structures (veins, faults, fractures and along bedding contacts) as a result of a low temperature hydrothermal event. The mineralised zones commonly have sharp boundaries, separating mineralised structures from poorly mineralised host rock.
All of the intersections correlated well in both grade and thickness with nearby vertical historical diamond drill holes.
Data Verification
120 half metre full core samples from holes ASD-001 and ASD-002 were sent to ALS-Chemex in Vancouver for chemical analysis (XRF) to compare with the e-grade calculations. The gamma and the assay results compare well. There is not an exact match due to the fact that the radiometric log measures a volume that can be up to 50 times larger than a typical drill core and thus gives a more representative sample.

Notes
The uranium grades reported in this release are annotated with a sub-prefix "e" because they have been reported as uranium equivalent grades derived from down-hole gamma ray logging results and so they should be regarded as approximations only.
The Berkeley drill holes were logged with a GeoVista total count gamma tool. The gamma tool was calibrated in Adelaide at the Department of Water, Land and Biodiversity Conservation in calibration pits constructed under the supervision of CSIRO. The various calibration factors were calculated by David Wilson BSc MSc MAusIMM from 3D Exploration Ltd based in Perth, Western Australia.
Drill hole co-ordinates are in UTM 29 ED 50 Datum grid and have been surveyed using a DGPS.
Drill intersections are calculated using a 200 ppm eU3O8 lower cut-off with a minimum 1 metre intersection.
As a check on the down-hole gamma logging data, hand held scintillometer readings were taken along the mineralised sections of the core. These showed good correlation with the down-hole gamma readings and were used to identify sections which may have been affected by radon. The down-hole gamma results also confirmed visual observations of significant uranium mineralisation in all of the holes.
The information in this report that relates to Exploration Results, Mineral Resources or Ore Reserves is based on information compiled by Mr. Ross Corben, who is a Member of The Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy and an employee of Berkeley Resources Limited. Mr. Corben has sufficient experience which is relevant to the style of mineralisation and type of deposit under consideration and to the activity which he is undertaking to qualify as a Competent Person as defined in the 2004 Edition of the ‘Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves’. Mr. Corben consents to the inclusion in the report of the matters based on his information in the form and context in which it appears.
