Statement re Reduction of Capital
At a hearing today, the High Court approved The Berkeley Group Holdings plc
reduction of capital. The reduction of capital is expected to become effective
at or after 4:30 pm on 28 October 2004 whereupon the nominal value of each 2004
B Share, 2006 B Share, 2008 B Share and 2010 B Share comprised within a unit of
The Berkeley Group Holdings plc will be reduced to 5 pence.
Accordingly, the 2004 B Shares will be redeemed by The Berkeley Group Holdings
plc on 3 December 2004, with the redemption proceeds of £5.00 per 2004 B Share
being paid to the first named holder appearing on the relevant register of
members of The Berkeley Group Holdings plc at the close of business on 26
November 2004.
