The Throgmorton Trust PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Harry
Westropp as a non-executive director with effect from 1 January 2003.
Mr Westropp, aged 57, began his career at Lazard Brothers & Co. Limited before
moving into industry in 1972. Since that time he has acted as chief executive or
chairman of a number of small to mid-sized industrial companies in both the
private and quoted sectors.
He is currently Chairman of Abacus Group plc and a non-executive director of
Nickerson Group Rothwell Limited. In addition he is non-executive Chairman of
Upperpoint Manufacturing Limited and Upperpoint Distribution Limited, two
companies which were formerly the trading operations of Norbain plc.
Chairman, Lord Stewartby commented:
'As The Throgmorton Trust's portfolio consists of small and medium sized
companies, we are particularly glad to welcome to the Board someone with Mr
Westropp's extensive experience of the management of businesses in this sector.'
In respect of paragraph 6F2(b) to (g) of the Listing Rules, there are no
circumstances to be reported.
