Blancco Technology Group PLC (AIM: BLTG, "Blancco", the "Company" or the "Group"), the industry standard in data erasure and mobile lifecycle solutions, is pleased to announce that it has achieved carbon neutrality by offsetting its 2021 Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions.

Sustainability is a core part of Blancco's business model and the Company recognises the role it has to play in addressing its own impact on climate change. In 2022, Blancco engaged Avieco, a leading environmental consultancy to undertake an extensive carbon assessment of Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions across its entire value chain for the period 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2021 .

Following this analysis, the Group has purchased carbon credits in two projects to achieve carbon neutrality. Both projects are designed to install grid-connected wind power in Gujarat, India, and all the credits purchased are verified in line with the Verified Carbon Standard ( " VCS " ), one of the world's leading verification standards. This is a crucial milestone in Blancco's ongoing sustainability journey and positions it strongly on its net zero pathway in the coming years. Going forward , the Company aims to reduce its emissions intensity on an annual basis and will continually review its decarbonisation plan, setting annual targets in step with Blancco's desire to drive accountability.

This is alongside Blancco's continued drive to help its customers reduce their own carbon emissions, with its product offering enabling customers to reduce their own carbon footprint, and the recently launched ESG Dashboard giving customers easy access to sustainability and carbon reduction metrics. By providing data erasure software, the need for physical destruction and landfill of electronic devices is negated, and the Group continues to promote the importance of sustainably disposing of hardware and supporting the circular economy.
