('Borders & Southern' or 'the Company')
Result of EGM and Placing shares
Borders & Southern Petroleum PLC announces that at its Extraordinary General
Meeting, held this morning to approve resolutions relating to the placing of
50,000,000 new ordinary shares ('the Placing Shares'), all resolutions were duly
passed.
Application has been made for the Placing shares to be admitted to trading on
AIM, with admission and completion of the placing expected to take place on
Tuesday 11 September 2007. Following admission, the total number of shares in
issue will be 177,687,500.
Borders & Southern further announces that a number of directors of the Company
have subscribed for shares in the Placing at the placing price of 30 pence per
share. Details of these subscriptions are as follows:

The ordinary shares in which Harry Dobson is interested in are held by the Zila
Corporation, a company owned by the Whitmill Trust Company limited, as trustee
of The Lotus Trust of which he is a beneficiary.
