Possible disposal of Associated Perforators & Weavers Limited ('APW')
Brooke Industrial Holdings plc (the 'Company'), the engineering components
distributor and manufacturer, is in discussions with the management of APW,
one of the Company's subsidiaries, regarding the possible sale of the business
to its management. APW is a manufacturer of perforated sheet, expanded metal
and woven wire based in Warrington. For the year ended 30 September 2000, as
shown in APW's last audited accounts, it made a profit before interest and
taxation of £126,051 on turnover of £4.3 million.
This preliminary announcement has been made to enable an employee consultation
period to commence at the earliest possible time without creating the
possibility of a false market existing in the Company's securities. A further
announcement will be made when appropriate.
