BP GROUP RESULTS FOR THE THIRD QUARTER ENDED 30 SEPT 2001 AND 
QUARTERLY DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT

I write to inform you that the Group results for the THIRD quarter ended 30 Sept
2001 and the quarterly dividend will be communicated to the Company 
Announcements Office, The London Stock Exchange, at 10.00 a.m. on 6 November 
2001.

Please note that the announcement time of 10.00 a.m. is earlier than in previous
quarters. It is currently our intention that quarterly dividend announcements 
will be at 10.00 a.m. (or earlier) in the future.
