Alan Goodwin Appointed an Executive Director

Brands Hatch Leisure PLC ('BHL' or the 'Company')

Following the resignation of Nicola Foulston from the Board of BHL, announced
earlier today, the Company announces that Alan Goodwin, the Company Secretary
of BHL, has been appointed an Executive Director to the Board with immediate
effect.  

Alan's primary responsibilities as a director of BHL will be to guide the
Company through the process of de-listing from the London Stock Exchange.  The
Board expects that de-listing will take place in February following the
completion of the compulsory share acquisition procedures in connection with
the recommended offer for BHL by The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc.,
which went wholly unconditional on 30 November 1999.
