The British Land Company PLC announces the following transaction in the
Company's ordinary shares of 25p by a Director of the Company.
The purchase by Mr C Metliss of 29 shares at a price of 445p per share into a
Personal Equity Plan on 31st October 2001.
This purchase represents the investment of dividends, tax credit and other
income by way of standing instructions.
