The British Land Company PLC announces the following transactions in the
Company's Ordinary Shares of 25p pursuant to standing elections to reinvest
dividends under Personal Equity Plans:-


The purchase by Mr P W Simon, a director, of 15 shares at a price of 446p
per share and by his wife, Mrs S Simon, of 15 shares, at the same price, on
3rd November 1999. Mr Simon was notified of these transactions on 10th
November 1999 and sent notification to the Company on that day.
