The British Land Company PLC announces that it received notification on 2
October 2001, pursuant to sections 198-202 of the Companies Act 1985, that
CGNU plc and Morley Fund Management Limited (a subsidiary of CGNU plc) no
longer have a notifiable interest in the Company.
*A Private Investor is a recipient of the information who meets all of the conditions set out below, the recipient:

Is not required to be regulated or supervised by a body concerned with the regulation or supervision of investment or financial services;
