APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR
British Smaller Companies VCT plc is delighted to announce the appointment of
Stephen Noar as a non-executive director with effect from 3 May 2005.
Stephen, a dentist by profession, was the founder Chairman and Chief Executive
of Denplan Limited until its successful trade sale in 1993 following its growth
from start up to a turnover in excess of £70m. He currently holds directorships
in a number of private and public companies including British Smaller Technology
Companies VCT plc, British Smaller Technology Companies VCT 2 plc and Cozart
plc. In 1994 Stephen was the winner of the Financial Times Venturer of the Year
award.
The Chairman, Sir Andrew Hugh Smith, said, 'I am delighted Stephen has agreed to
join the Board. His appointment will enable him to extend to the Company the
considerable contribution he has made as a director of the British Smaller
Technology Companies venture capital trusts. He will bring a wealth of
experience to our investment work'.
