Acquisition of Amacis Group Limited
British Smaller Technology Companies VCT 2 plc ("The Company") today announces
the recent acquisition of Amacis Group Limited ("Amacis") by Primus Knowledge
Solutions inc ("Primus"), a US based company quoted on Nasdaq.
Founded in 1986, Primus develops award-winning software solutions that power
self-service to assisted service offerings for mid-market and Global 2000
organisations. Primus knowledge sharing software is used today in call centres,
help desks, and Web self-service environments to increase customer satisfaction,
improve employee efficiency and lower operating costs. Its current customers
include 3Com, Airbus, Boeing, Fijitsu, IBM, Motorola and T-Mobile. Further

Amacis, based in Belfast, is a leading provider of electronic communication
management solutions to global organisations. The Company invested £275,000 in
April 2003 as part of a much larger funding package. The acquisition of Amacis
by Primus completed on 22 December 2003. As a result, The Company will receive
188,038 shares in Primus.
Based on a Primus share price of $6.30 and an exchange rate of $1.7618/£1 this
values the Company's holding at approximately £672,000, an increase over cost
and current valuation of £397,000, equivalent to approximately 5p per Ordinary
Share.
