BELLSOUTH BOARD OF DIRECTORS DECLARES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND
ATLANTA - February 28, 2000 - BellSouth Corporation (NSYE: BLS), one of the most
widely held companies in the nation, today declared a regular quarterly dividend
of $0.19 per common share.
The dividend is payable May 1, 2000 to shareholders of record on April 13.
This is the 65th consecutive quarterly dividend declared by BellSouth since its
formation in 1984. As of December 31, the company has nearly 1.9 billion shares
outstanding in approximately one million registered shareholder accounts.
