Appointment of Deputy Chief Executive

Brooks Macdonald Group plc (the "Group"), the AIM listed integrated wealth management group, today announces the appointment of Andrew Shepherd as its Deputy Chief Executive, with effect from 4 August 2015.

Following the significant growth of the Group since its IPO in 2005, the Board has resolved that it should create this new role to broaden the senior management team.  

Andrew (42) is an executive director of the Group and joint managing director of Brooks Macdonald Asset Management Limited ('BMAM'), who he joined in 2002. In light of this appointment, Andrew is relinquishing his duties as joint managing director of BMAM, and accordingly Nick Holmes will become sole managing director of BMAM, having been joint managing director since October 2008.

Chris Macdonald, Chief Executive of Brooks Macdonald, commented:

"I would like to congratulate both Andrew and Nick on their appointments. I am looking forward to working alongside Andrew in his new role as Deputy Chief Executive.  He has been a core part of the Group's management team for the last 7 years. His appointment will provide me with more time to focus on delivering the Group's growth ambitions."
