ANNOUNCEMENT FOR RELEASE ON 1 May 2007


Brooks Macdonald Group PLC today announces the opening of a new Asset Management
office in the centre of Manchester together with the recruitment of another
private client fund manager with immediate effect.


Claire Bennison, formerly Head of Technical Analysis and Currencies at Barclays
Private Clients, for seven years, will head up the office as Regional Director.
She has 18 years experience in the sector.


Chris Macdonald, Chief Executive of Brooks Macdonald Group PLC said:
