NEW TEAM JOINS BROOKS MACDONALD GROUP PLC

Brooks Macdonald Group plc today announces the opening of a new office in
Winchester. John Wallace, who managed private client portfolios for Dexia-Ely
Fund Managers for a number of years until March 2005, heads the team.

Chris Macdonald, Chief Executive of Brooks Macdonald Group plc said: 'This is a
very exciting development for the Group and our first move out of London. It
